About Eve Fromberg Edelstein

Roots in the Coachella Valley

I am Eve Fromberg Edelstein, and I am proud to call the Coachella Valley home, not just because I chose it, but because it chose me first. I was raised in Palm Springs, where my family settled in 1978, and where my father, Jeffrey E. Fromberg, built his law practice from the ground up beginning in 1979. The values I learned watching him serve this community, hard work, integrity, and a deep commitment to the people around you, have guided every chapter of my life since.

A Commitment to Rancho Mirage

My husband Mark and I, along with our son Jack, have made Rancho Mirage our home since February 1999. In the more than 25 years since, I have watched this city grow and change, and I have worked alongside its residents, nonprofits, and institutions to help shape that growth for the better.  It is an honor to now serve on the Rancho Mirage City Council, and I look forward to continuing the work we've started to keep Rancho Mirage the exceptional community we all cherish.

Professional Experience

My professional background spans real estate, business, corporate, and nonprofit law. After graduating from California Western Law School in 1997 and being admitted to the State Bar of California, I began my legal career with my father at the Law Offices of Jeffrey E. Fromberg. In 2011, Mark and I established the Law Offices of Mark W. Edelstein, where our practice encompasses corporate law, labor and employment, business litigation, nonprofit law, estate planning, and real estate development. For years, I have provided strategic planning, legal compliance education, and governance counsel to nonprofit organizations throughout the region, work that has given me a clear-eyed view of what it takes to build institutions that serve people well.

Nonprofit Leadership Experience

One of the most formative experiences of my career came in 2008, when I was hired as CEO of Smile Factory, a local nonprofit providing free dental screenings and treatment to public school children across three school districts. Leading that organization taught me what it truly means to run a mission-driven entity on limited resources, to serve vulnerable populations with dignity, and to solve real operational problems with creativity and discipline. That experience shaped the leader I am today.

Community Leadership & Public Service

My commitment to this community extends well beyond my legal practice. I have served as board president of Pathfinder Ranch, board member of The Foundation for Palm Springs Unified School District, board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Springs, and board president of both Cielo Vista Charter School and Palm Springs Pathfinders. I served as a Housing Commissioner for the City of Rancho Mirage, a role that deepened my understanding of the housing pressures facing our residents and the policy tools available to address them. I currently serve as Board Chair for DAP Health and as a member of the COD Planned Giving Advisory Group. I am also a recognized voice on board governance and legal compliance, lecturing regularly across the Inland Empire and Riverside County, and I have been honored annually in the Desert Charities Newsletter Women of Philanthropy issue.

Serving Rancho Mirage

I was appointed to the Rancho Mirage City Council on 11/15/2024 and have proudly served in that role. I am now seeking re-election to my council seat in November 2026. If re-elected to the Rancho Mirage City Council, I will bring this full breadth of experience to bear on the issues that matter most to our community. I am committed to advancing public safety and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our neighborhoods safe and connected. I believe that housing affordability is one of the defining challenges of our time in the Coachella Valley, and I will work to expand access to housing that reflects the diversity of our community’s needs. And I am dedicated to fostering sustainable economic development that strengthens local businesses, creates opportunity, and preserves the character and quality of life that makes Rancho Mirage such a special place to call home.

A Lifetime of Service to the Valley

I have spent my entire adult life in service to this valley, as a lawyer, a nonprofit leader, a board member, and a neighbor. I know this community because I am this community. I would be honored to earn your vote and your trust.
